The E18 east, and which Turku you are leaving

The road is the E18 motorway the whole way, and because it meets the capital region on its northern side the drive reaches the airport without going through Helsinki. It behaves the same in both directions: fast and straightforward outside winter, slower and darker inside it. A February morning on the E18 deserves a wider margin than an August one, and we plan the pickup accordingly.

Where the car waits changes the arithmetic more than the motorway does. The riverside hotels along the Aura are a straight run out of the centre; the ferry harbour at the river mouth, next to the castle, adds a crossing of the city; and the Meyer shipyard on the western edge, or Naantali about fifteen kilometres north-west, both sit on the far side of town from the motorway. Give the exact address when you book and those extra minutes are already in the plan.

Off the overnight ferry and onto a flight

A large share of our departures from Turku start on the quay rather than at a hotel. The Stockholm and Åland ferries dock in the morning, and travellers step off with most of a day still to use — two hours of driving plus the two hours the airport asks for means an early-afternoon flight is comfortable while a breakfast-time one is not. Tell us the sailing rather than a guessed time, and the driver is at the terminal when the ramp actually opens.

Ferry luggage is its own category, usually heavier and more numerous than what you flew in with, and a note in the booking is enough for us to send a car with the boot space to match.

Festival weekends and the winter dark

Turku's summer calendar — Ruisrock out on Ruissalo, the August music festival, the riverside season in general — empties the city's own taxis on exactly the days when people are leaving for flights, and the Christmas period around the Declaration of Christmas Peace does the same. On those dates a named driver booked against your flight is a schedule rather than a comfort.

Leaving Turku for your flight

The drive from Turku to Helsinki Airport is about 170 km and takes around 120 minutes in normal traffic. Add the two hours the airport asks for international departures and the whole morning plans itself: about 4 h from your door to your gate. We watch the morning traffic and the weather, and if your flight moves, the pickup moves with it.

Your driver arrives at the address you give — hotel entrance, office, private house or the port — helps with the luggage and drives straight to the departures level of Terminal 2. There is no meter running while you load the bags, and the fare does not change if the traffic does.

What the departure price includes

One price for the car, not per person. All taxes included, agreed when you book — no meter, and nothing added afterwards.

The local operator, start to finish. We assign the car ourselves, the driver is one of ours, and the fixed price you see is our own price. If anything changes on the morning of the flight, one WhatsApp message reaches the person who assigns the cars.

Room for the luggage. Three passengers and three suitcases travel in the Business Sedan (Mercedes-Benz E-Class or similar); larger groups take the Business Van (Mercedes-Benz Vito, up to eight) or the Business Minibus (Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, up to fifteen), and for 16 and more we arrange a coach on request — so nobody travels separately from their bags.

Frequently asked questions

How much is a taxi from Turku to Helsinki Airport?
A pre-booked private transfer from Turku to Helsinki Airport starts from €479 for the whole car in the Business Sedan (Mercedes-Benz E-Class or similar), up to 3 passengers. The exact fare for your address, date and time is shown instantly in the booking form — agreed in advance, no meter, no hidden fees.
What time should the car pick me up in Turku for my flight?
Plan on roughly 4 h before departure: about 120 minutes of driving plus two hours at the airport for bag drop and security. For a 08:00 flight that means a pickup around 04:00; for a 12:00 flight, around 08:00. Tell us your flight number when you book and we will suggest the pickup time ourselves.
Can I book a return transfer at the same time?
Yes. Book both legs in one go: each leg is priced for its own date, time and direction when you book; the airport pickup includes meet & greet and 60 minutes of waiting.
What if my flight is very early in the morning?
We drive around the clock, and the fare for your pickup time is fixed the moment you book. Early departures are our most common departure job: the car is at your door when you asked, and the roads are empty at that hour.
