The drive to Helsinki Airport is about 98 km and takes roughly an hour, almost all of it on the Helsinki–Tampere motorway (Highway 3 / E12). Southbound traffic thickens as the motorway nears the capital region in the commuter hours, but the airport is reached from Ring III before the city itself, so you leave the flow rather than joining it — a departure from Hämeenlinna avoids the part of the morning that central Helsinki has to sit through. Add the two hours the airport asks for before an international flight and an early departure means leaving in the dark for much of the year. The point of the car on a route like this is not the hour of motorway; it is that it starts when your flight requires and stops at the departures door, with no change of platform in between.
Scandic Aulanko stands five kilometres out in the nature reserve with its own driveway, so the driver comes to the hotel door rather than to a road somewhere in the forest. In the city, the Original Sokos Hotel Vaakuna is in the centre by the railway station, an easy street-side pickup. For the Moreeni industrial park and the business addresses on the edge of town, name the building and the gate — those sites are large and the right entrance is not always the first one. Country and village addresses around the lake need the exact address, and a word if the last stretch is a private road.
Between December and March the E12 is ploughed and salted as a main national route, and our cars run proper winter tyres, so snow is a matter of driving a little slower rather than a reason to cancel. We build that into the pickup time instead of hoping to make it up on the road — and the same allowance covers the first kilometres, since town streets and the forest roads around Aulanko are cleared later in the morning than the motorway is.
The drive from Hämeenlinna to Helsinki Airport is about 98 km and takes around 60 minutes in normal traffic. Add the two hours the airport asks for international departures and the whole morning plans itself: about 3 h from your door to your gate. We watch the morning traffic and the weather, and if your flight moves, the pickup moves with it.
Your driver arrives at the address you give — hotel entrance, office, private house or the port — helps with the luggage and drives straight to the departures level of Terminal 2. There is no meter running while you load the bags, and the fare does not change if the traffic does.
One price for the car, not per person. All taxes included, agreed when you book — no meter, and nothing added afterwards.
The local operator, start to finish. We assign the car ourselves, the driver is one of ours, and the fixed price you see is our own price. If anything changes on the morning of the flight, one WhatsApp message reaches the person who assigns the cars.
Room for the luggage. Three passengers and three suitcases travel in the Business Sedan (Mercedes-Benz E-Class or similar); larger groups take the Business Van (Mercedes-Benz Vito, up to eight) or the Business Minibus (Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, up to fifteen), and for 16 and more we arrange a coach on request — so nobody travels separately from their bags.
