These General Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to all pre-booked airport transfers, private transfers and hourly chauffeur services across Finland. By using or booking our services, the Customer agrees to comply with these Terms. Our offerings include seamless Helsinki airport transfers, business transportation, and tailored family tours in Finland.
Service Provider: Finnolink Oy (Y-tunnus 3452346-7, VAT ID FI34523467), the operator of the website helsinkiairport.taxi. The Service Provider holds a Finnish taxi licence (taksiliikennelupa) No. 00023891 issued by Traficom (Finnish Transport and Communications Agency).
Customer: The individual or business booking or using the Service Provider’s services.
Services: Pre-booked airport transfers, private transfers and hourly chauffeur services, using vehicles compliant with Finnish law.
The Service Provider offers Helsinki airport transfers, private transfers throughout Finland and hourly chauffeur services. The Service Provider takes the booking, assigns the car and the driver and is responsible to the customer for the whole service. All rides are carried out in licensed vehicles in accordance with Finnish transport law.
Our services are available upon pre-booking and subject to vehicle availability. Customers can book airport transfers and tours through our online platform or by contacting us directly.
Bookings can be made through the website, by email or via WhatsApp. Pre-booking guarantees service availability.
Upon confirmation, the Customer will receive details, including pickup location, time, and payment options. It is the Customer’s responsibility to verify the accuracy of all information.
Full payment is required to confirm and guarantee your booking.
You can pay in one of two ways:
Pay now by card — your card is charged securely at the time of booking via Stripe.
Reserve now, pay later — we confirm your booking and then send a secure payment link or, by agreement, an invoice to be paid before the date of the trip. This option is intended for business clients.
Accepted payment methods: credit and debit cards (processed by Stripe), secure payment links, and bank transfer / invoice by agreement, paid before the date of the trip. Card details are handled solely by Stripe — we never see or store your full card details.
A booking is not confirmed until payment is completed or a pay-later arrangement has been agreed. Failure to complete payment may result in cancellation of the booking.
Free cancellations are available for bookings canceled at least 24 hours before the scheduled service time.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled service are subject to a 100% cancellation fee.
For certain types of booking — larger vehicles, minibuses and coaches, group programmes, a vehicle placed at the Customer's disposal, and long-distance or otherwise specially arranged journeys — a longer notice period applies. The applicable period is stated in our quote or in the booking confirmation and takes precedence over the general rule above.
Refunds for eligible cancellations are processed within 10 business days. If the Customer cancels, we may deduct the fees charged by the payment provider for the original payment. If we cancel or cannot provide the service, the full amount is refunded.
Because this is a passenger transport service booked for a specific date, the 14-day right of withdrawal for online purchases does not apply; the cancellation rules above apply instead.
Customers may request changes to their Helsinki airport transfer or other bookings up to 24 hours before the service, subject to availability.
For the types of booking listed in Section 6, a longer notice period applies to amendments as well; the applicable period is stated in our quote or in the booking confirmation and takes precedence over the general rule above.
Later changes, up to the day of the service, are possible whenever we can accommodate them; they may incur additional charges, depending on availability and operational constraints.
For airport transfers, the fare includes free waiting from the actual landing time of the flight: 60 minutes for business classes and 45 minutes for economy classes. The driver contacts the Customer by phone or WhatsApp when needed, and any extra waiting is agreed with the Customer. If the Customer does not arrive at the pickup location within the free waiting time and cannot be reached, the driver decides at their discretion: either the booking is registered as a “no-show,” and no refund will be issued, or the driver continues to wait, in which case the extra waiting time is charged to the Customer.
Waiting buffer after landing: on request, a buffer of 30, 45 or 60 minutes after landing can be agreed when booking, for example for flights from outside the Schengen area with passport control. The driver then meets the Customer in the arrivals hall at the landing time plus the buffer, and the free waiting time starts from that moment.
For train station or port pickups, the Customer has 30 minutes from the scheduled arrival time to meet the driver, failing which the booking is considered a “no-show.”
For pickups at hotels or other locations, the Customer has 15 minutes to arrive at the agreed location before the service is marked as a “no-show.”
Extended Waiting Time
Waiting time can be extended by mutual agreement between the Customer and the driver. Extra waiting is charged by the actual minutes: 1 EUR per minute (60 EUR per hour) for economy classes and 1.50 EUR per minute (90 EUR per hour) for business classes. For bookings made by a travel agent, extra waiting is invoiced to the agent.
When the Customer can be reached, the extension is confirmed once the Customer agrees with the driver to pay for the additional waiting time.
The Service Provider ensures that all vehicles comply with Finnish safety and licensing regulations for all our services.
While the Service Provider will make every effort to provide services punctually, it is not responsible for delays caused by factors beyond its control, including traffic, weather, or force majeure.
If a vehicle breakdown or operational failure occurs, the Service Provider will arrange an alternative vehicle at no additional cost.
The Customer must provide accurate details when booking and ensure they are on time at the designated pickup location.
The Customer is responsible for informing the Service Provider of any special requirements (e.g., child seats, excess luggage) at the time of booking. Child seats are not included in the fare: they are provided on request, subject to availability, and an additional charge may apply. The Customer must contact the Service Provider before booking to confirm whether suitable seats can be provided and at what price.
Children under 3 years must always travel in a suitable child seat; this is required by Finnish law without exception. If no child seat has been agreed with us in advance and the Customer does not bring their own, the child cannot be carried and the booking is treated as a no-show. Children aged 3 and older travel in a child seat or booster when one has been agreed; otherwise they travel in the back seat with a seat belt, as Finnish law allows in licensed vehicles.
The Customer is liable for any damages caused to the vehicle by themselves or their passengers, and repair costs will be billed to the Customer.
The Service Provider is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from the use of the services, except where liability cannot be excluded under Finnish law.
The Service Provider’s liability for direct loss is limited to the amount paid by the Customer for the booking. These limitations do not apply to personal injury, to damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, or where the law does not allow such limitation.
The Service Provider will handle personal data in compliance with GDPR and Finnish data protection regulations.
Personal data will not be shared with third parties unless necessary for the provision of services (e.g., sharing with drivers for pickups).
The Service Provider is not liable for service failures due to force majeure events, including natural disasters, government actions, or strikes.
These Terms are governed by Finnish law, and any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Helsinki, Finland. A consumer may also bring proceedings in the court of their own place of residence.
The Service Provider reserves the right to modify these Terms. Customers will be notified of any significant changes affecting their bookings.
A booking is governed by the version of these Terms in force when the booking was made.
Please send any complaint about a service to complaints@helsinkiairport.taxi, preferably within 30 days after the service, so that we can look into it while the details are fresh. This does not limit your rights under mandatory consumer protection law. We aim to resolve every complaint quickly.
If we cannot reach an agreement, a consumer can ask for advice from the Consumer Advisory Services of the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority (www.kkv.fi) and refer the dispute to the Consumer Disputes Board (Kuluttajariitalautakunta, www.kuluttajariita.fi, PL 306, 00531 Helsinki). Before contacting the Board, the complaint must first be made to us in writing. Consumers living in another EU country can also get help from the European Consumer Centre Finland (www.ecc.fi).
