The run back to Helsinki Airport is about 104 km and takes around 1.5 hours: out along the river valley on country roads, onto Route 25 near Karjaa, east on the E18 Turku motorway past the Lohja lake district, and finally Ring III to the terminals. Add the two hours the airport asks for before an international departure and a morning flight means an early start — and from October through March that start is in full darkness on rural roads with no street lighting. This is the one leg where we quietly add a few minutes rather than shave them: the motorway hour is predictable, the twenty minutes of country road at either end is where snow, frost or a slow tractor actually costs time.
Fiskars has a few hundred residents, no rail station and no early bus, and a car ordered on the morning itself may be a long way away when you need it. That is the practical argument for booking the departure at the same time as the arrival: the driver comes to the door of Fiskars Wärdshus, your cottage or your rented studio at the agreed time, whatever the hour, rather than to a meeting point somewhere on the main street.
People leave Fiskars with more than they arrived with — ceramics and glass from the studios, tools and blades from the Fiskars Shop, something from the antique dealers. Two things are worth doing the night before rather than at the bag drop: put the knives, axes, garden shears and anything else with a blade into the checked bag, because sharp items do not go through security in hand luggage, and pad the glass and ceramics in the middle of a case rather than at its edges. If the shopping has outgrown the luggage you arrived with, say so when you book the return and we send a vehicle with the boot space for it.
The drive from Fiskars Village to Helsinki Airport is about 104 km and takes around 90 minutes in normal traffic. Add the two hours the airport asks for international departures and the whole morning plans itself: about 3 h 30 min from your door to your gate. We watch the morning traffic and the weather, and if your flight moves, the pickup moves with it.
Your driver arrives at the address you give — hotel entrance, office, private house or the port — helps with the luggage and drives straight to the departures level of Terminal 2. There is no meter running while you load the bags, and the fare does not change if the traffic does.
One price for the car, not per person. All taxes included, agreed when you book — no meter, and nothing added afterwards.
The local operator, start to finish. We assign the car ourselves, the driver is one of ours, and the fixed price you see is our own price. If anything changes on the morning of the flight, one WhatsApp message reaches the person who assigns the cars.
Room for the luggage. Three passengers and three suitcases travel in the Business Sedan (Mercedes-Benz E-Class or similar); larger groups take the Business Van (Mercedes-Benz Vito, up to eight) or the Business Minibus (Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, up to fifteen), and for 16 and more we arrange a coach on request — so nobody travels separately from their bags.
