The airport is only about 17 km north of the hill, roughly 21 minutes on the Tuusulanväylä, which makes Linnanmäki one of the easiest last-day stops in Helsinki. The obvious plan for a departure day is to keep the luggage in the car: check out in the morning, spend the day on the hill, and drive from the gate straight to the departures level of Terminal 2, with no return trip to the hotel and nothing left in a locker.
