Lappeenranta to Helsinki Airport is just over 220 km and about three hours — Highway 6 west through Kouvola, then the E75 Lahti motorway south to Terminal 2 without touching central Helsinki. With the two hours the airport asks for before an international departure, a flight at 08:00 means a pickup at about 03:00 and a midday flight at about 07:00. The three-in-the-morning start is real, and some travellers would rather move to a later flight than face it; send the flight number when you book and we will say which pickup the timing actually needs. The road is empty at both hours, and the only stretch that can cost minutes is the motorway approach to the capital region during the weekday morning peak.
A large share of departures on this route never start in the city. Holiday Club Saimaa and the villa villages at Rauha, and the holiday housing and sports areas at Ukonniemi, sit about half an hour northeast of the centre up Highway 6, so add that to everything above; Imatra is a further stretch again along the same road. Lakeside cottages on the Pien-Saimaa shore are down forest tracks that no street name describes usefully — send the coordinates along with the address and the driver reaches the right gate first time, which matters most for a pickup before dawn.
From the first snow until the ice breaks up, departures here begin in the dark with the yard under snow. The car runs on winter tyres with a driver who does this road all year, and the agreed price does not move because the road did. Loading is done where you stand rather than at a rank, so a family with beach bags from the Sandcastle summer or skis from a winter holiday week leaves in one vehicle instead of two, and nobody travels separately from their luggage.
The drive from Lappeenranta to Helsinki Airport is about 222 km and takes around 180 minutes in normal traffic. Add the two hours the airport asks for international departures and the whole morning plans itself: about 5 h from your door to your gate. We watch the morning traffic and the weather, and if your flight moves, the pickup moves with it.
Your driver arrives at the address you give — hotel entrance, office, private house or the port — helps with the luggage and drives straight to the departures level of Terminal 2. There is no meter running while you load the bags, and the fare does not change if the traffic does.
One price for the car, not per person. All taxes included, agreed when you book — no meter, and nothing added afterwards.
The local operator, start to finish. We assign the car ourselves, the driver is one of ours, and the fixed price you see is our own price. If anything changes on the morning of the flight, one WhatsApp message reaches the person who assigns the cars.
Room for the luggage. Three passengers and three suitcases travel in the Business Sedan (Mercedes-Benz E-Class or similar); larger groups take the Business Van (Mercedes-Benz Vito, up to eight) or the Business Minibus (Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, up to fifteen), and for 16 and more we arrange a coach on request — so nobody travels separately from their bags.
