Jätkäsaari is a peninsula with only a few ways off it, so the first minutes of the trip matter more here than the 20 km that follow. From Tyynenmerenkatu the route runs past the West Terminal and through Ruoholahti before it picks up the roads north, and in normal traffic the whole journey to the terminals takes 25 to 30 minutes. Two things slow the start: weekday commuter traffic between about seven and nine, and a Tallinn ferry unloading 600 metres away at the West Terminal, which puts a queue of cars onto the same streets within minutes of docking. We allow for both when we set the pickup time, then add the two hours the airport asks for before an international departure.
We collect from the main entrance, or from the lobby if you would rather wait indoors — worth knowing in February, when the wind comes off the harbour across open ground with very little in the way to stop it. Bring the bags down before the agreed time and loading takes a minute; the driver knows the entrance and does not need directions to it. If your stay ends with a Baltic crossing rather than a flight, the West Terminal is a few hundred metres from the same door, and that leg is booked the same way.
The hotel holds one of the largest conference centres in Finland, and a congress that closes on a Friday morning sends several hundred delegates towards Helsinki Airport inside the same two hours. That is exactly when a car found on the spot is hardest to come by and the kerb outside is busiest. A booked departure is assigned to you in advance and simply arrives; for groups leaving together we bring one minibus or coach, or several vehicles against one schedule, loading from the same entrance in sequence so nobody waits on the pavement with a suitcase.
The drive from Clarion Hotel Helsinki to Helsinki Airport is about 20 km and takes around 25 minutes in normal traffic. Add the two hours the airport asks for international departures and the whole morning plans itself: about 2 h 25 min from your door to your gate. We watch the morning traffic and the weather, and if your flight moves, the pickup moves with it.
Your driver arrives at the address you give — hotel entrance, office, private house or the port — helps with the luggage and drives straight to the departures level of Terminal 2. The fare was agreed when you booked, and it does not change if the traffic does.
One price for the car, not per person. All taxes included, agreed when you book — nothing added afterwards.
The local operator, start to finish. We assign the car ourselves, the driver is one of ours, and the fixed price you see is our own price. If anything changes on the morning of the flight, one WhatsApp message reaches the person who assigns the cars.
Room for the luggage. Three passengers and three suitcases travel in the Business Sedan (Mercedes-Benz E-Class or similar); larger groups take the Business Van (Mercedes-Benz Vito, up to eight) or the Business Minibus (Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, up to fifteen), and for 16 and more we arrange a coach on request — so nobody travels separately from their bags.
