The terminal stands at Tyynenmerenkatu 14 in Jätkäsaari, on a peninsula at the western edge of the centre, and the drive to the airport runs back up through the city and onto the northbound motorway. Jätkäsaari has only a handful of roads out, and they carry everything a ship has just unloaded — foot passengers, coaches, cars and taxis all leaving in the same few minutes. A car booked in advance is already standing at the terminal door when you come off the ramp, which is the difference between a calm hour and a queue.
Name your terminal building when you book. The West Harbour has more than one, and the West Terminal is signed as Terminal 2 — confusing for anyone also thinking about the airport's Terminal 2, which is where every Helsinki flight now departs. Tell us the shipping line and the sailing and the driver is at the right building.
The crossing from Tallinn takes about two and a quarter hours on the newest fast ships and up to three and a half on the others, and that choice decides whether a same-day flight works at all. Add the drive from the quay and the two hours the airport asks for, then count backwards from your departure — on this route it is usually the sailing that needs choosing carefully, not the car. Give us the ship rather than a time and we meet its actual arrival instead of the printed one.
Luggage is the other thing this route carries. Passengers come back from Tallinn with noticeably more than they left with, and a loaded trolley does not travel well on a tram. Say in the booking how much is coming and the car that meets the ship has the boot space for it, loaded at the terminal door rather than at a tram stop two blocks away.
The drive from West Terminal to Helsinki Airport is about 22 km and takes around 30 minutes in normal traffic. Add the two hours the airport asks for international departures and the whole morning plans itself: about 2 h 30 min from your door to your gate. We watch the morning traffic and the weather, and if your flight moves, the pickup moves with it.
Your driver arrives at the address you give — hotel entrance, office, private house or the port — helps with the luggage and drives straight to the departures level of Terminal 2. The fare was agreed when you booked, and it does not change if the traffic does.
One price for the car, not per person. All taxes included, agreed when you book — nothing added afterwards.
The local operator, start to finish. We assign the car ourselves, the driver is one of ours, and the fixed price you see is our own price. If anything changes on the morning of the flight, one WhatsApp message reaches the person who assigns the cars.
Room for the luggage. Three passengers and three suitcases travel in the Business Sedan (Mercedes-Benz E-Class or similar); larger groups take the Business Van (Mercedes-Benz Vito, up to eight) or the Business Minibus (Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, up to fifteen), and for 16 and more we arrange a coach on request — so nobody travels separately from their bags.
Flying in as well? The airport pickup for this route: Helsinki Airport to West Terminal from €107 — that direction includes meet & greet inside arrivals with a name sign, flight tracking and 60 minutes of free waiting. Book both legs at once; each is priced for its own date and time. Every destination we drive is listed with distance, time and price in our transfers table, and the full fare list by vehicle class is on the prices page.
Disembarkation morning empties a whole ship onto the quay at once, and the taxi queue outside West Terminal peaks at exactly that moment. A car booked in advance is already waiting, with room for cruise-sized suitcases, and we follow the ship's actual arrival rather than the printed timetable. All four quays, the hourly hire for a day ashore before your flight and the fixed fares are on our Helsinki cruise port transfer page.
