The Silja ships from Stockholm berth at the Olympia Terminal in the morning, which makes this one of the few departure runs where the clock starts on a gangway rather than at a hotel door. The drive to Helsinki Airport is about 22 km and normally 25 to 35 minutes — up from the South Harbour through the city and out on Tuusulanväylä — but a whole ship walks off at once, and the rank outside the terminal is at its emptiest exactly then. A car booked in advance is already standing on Olympiaranta when you come down the ramp. Give us the ship and the sailing date rather than a guessed hour, and we follow the actual arrival instead of the printed one.
The terminal sits on the western shore of the South Harbour with the quay on one side and Olympiaranta on the other, and the driver waits by the terminal building itself, a few steps from the doors rather than around a corner in a car park. Trams 2 and 3 stop at the same kerb, so it is a busy piece of pavement on a disembarkation morning; if you are travelling as a group, agree one meeting point at the terminal entrance and let a single person find the driver while everyone else stays with the bags. Boarding for the outbound sailings closes about twenty minutes before departure, so passengers heading the other way — hotel to ship rather than ship to airport — are timed to the same clock.
Olympia serves the Stockholm route. Tallink's Tallinn ferries and Eckerö Line sail from the West Terminal in Jätkäsaari, Viking Line's Tallinn ship from Katajanokka, and the largest cruise liners tie up at Hernesaari rather than in the South Harbour at all. Tell us the shipping line and we will confirm which quay the car should go to. Many travellers also spend their last night ashore at a hotel by the Market Square or the Esplanadi, a few minutes' drive from here — in that case the pickup simply moves to the hotel entrance.
The drive from Olympia Terminal to Helsinki Airport is about 22 km and takes around 30 minutes in normal traffic. Add the two hours the airport asks for international departures and the whole morning plans itself: about 2 h 30 min from your door to your gate. We watch the morning traffic and the weather, and if your flight moves, the pickup moves with it.
Your driver arrives at the address you give — hotel entrance, office, private house or the port — helps with the luggage and drives straight to the departures level of Terminal 2. The fare was agreed when you booked, and it does not change if the traffic does.
One price for the car, not per person. All taxes included, agreed when you book — nothing added afterwards.
The local operator, start to finish. We assign the car ourselves, the driver is one of ours, and the fixed price you see is our own price. If anything changes on the morning of the flight, one WhatsApp message reaches the person who assigns the cars.
Room for the luggage. Three passengers and three suitcases travel in the Business Sedan (Mercedes-Benz E-Class or similar); larger groups take the Business Van (Mercedes-Benz Vito, up to eight) or the Business Minibus (Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, up to fifteen), and for 16 and more we arrange a coach on request — so nobody travels separately from their bags.
Flying in as well? The airport pickup for this route: Helsinki Airport to Olympia Terminal from €107 — that direction includes meet & greet inside arrivals with a name sign, flight tracking and 60 minutes of free waiting. Book both legs at once; each is priced for its own date and time. Every destination we drive is listed with distance, time and price in our transfers table, and the full fare list by vehicle class is on the prices page.
Disembarkation morning empties a whole ship onto the quay at once, and the taxi queue outside Olympia Terminal peaks at exactly that moment. A car booked in advance is already waiting, with room for cruise-sized suitcases, and we follow the ship's actual arrival rather than the printed timetable. All four quays, the hourly hire for a day ashore before your flight and the fixed fares are on our Helsinki cruise port transfer page.
